Nice is the gateway to the French Riviera and a fantastic base from which to explore the Cote d'Azur. With a heavy Italian influence, Nice has great shopping and a wide range of restaurants. Trains run frequetly up and down the coast to Monaco, Cannes, Antibes, Villefranche and St.Raphael, from where you can get buses to St.Tropez.

The Old Town
The Old Town is a maze charming cobblestone pedestrian ways laden with fancy retailers and exquisite eateries. Wander through the arts and crafts market of stop for a Gelato and watch the wold go by.
The Beaches
Over 40 kilometers of beaches line the Cote d'Azur. Nice has a pebble beach, while both Cannes and Monaco have sand beaches. At the beach in Nice, you can hire sun chairs and umbrellas for around 15 Euros a day, or full waiter service from 20 euros, but don't forget your flip-flops - you will need them!
Totally free and an endless source of amusement, is "Spot the Brit". Much easier and just as fun as celebrity spotting, this a great way to while away those lazy days on the beach.
Promenade des Anglais
Lined with cafes and hotels, the Promenade des Anglais is a long wide road that runs the length of the seafront at Nice. Take an evening stroll and head towards the old town for dinner.
Art Museums
Nice has three prominent art museums, the Contemporary Art Museum with works by Andy Warhol and Salvador Dali, a Matisse museum as well as a Marc Chagall museum.
Monaco/Monte Carlo
Take a train to Monaco (20 minutes) and walk up to the Royal Residence to see where Grace Kelly and Prince Ranier are buried. Follow the route of the famous Monaco Grand Prix circuit and visit the beautiful Belle Opaque casino.
Cannes
About 40 minutes by train in the opposite direction, you can visit Cannes, home to the famous Cannes Film Festival. Walk along the promanade or exprore the beautiful boutiques.

Cruise to St. Tropez
Discover the Mediterranean coast between Cannes and St Tropez. Visit the beautiful village of St Tropez, known for its celebrities, fashion boutiques, cafe- terraces, luxury yachts for all the world to see, it nevertheless has kept its authenticity.
Saint Paul de Vence
Typical of early fortifed towns, Saint-Paul de Vence was discovered by famous painters who used to meet in the Colombe d’Or. This village is one of the most visited village in France. Saint Paul is fascinating, not only for its charm but also for its great cultural and artistic influence.
