Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Rome to Pompeii and Sorrento
The tour departs at 8am sharp - please ensure that you're ready to go by 7:45am. Our first stop of the day is the fascinating city of Pompeii. Entry into the site, and a two hour tour provided by a local Guide is included in the the tour price.
Late-afternoon we will arrive at our accommodation in Sorrento, Camping Santa Fortunata. After check-in we will head into town for an orientation walk. The walk will take in the town square, the beautiful views, the market and shopping district before a demonstration and tasting at a local Limoncello store. Then you have time to do as you please. A dinner will be organised at a local restaurant by your guide if you'd like to join in. Then check out one of the local bars or street cafes for a drink or a gelato.
Day 2: Isle of Capri
Today we will be catching a ferry over to the beautiful island of Capri. You have the whole day to do as you please!! Laze on the beach, go exploring, take the bus or cable car up to Anacapri, or jump on a local boat to experience the famous grottos. In Capri town, take a walk and check out the designer stores, the beautiful squares and admire the breathtaking scenery. The local gelato is delicious. Buy yourself an ice-cream and head to the beautiful Giardini Di Augusto - the gardens that overlook the famous Faraglioni Rocks. Anacapri is the highest point on the island. Great shopping, lots of restaurants and more spectacular views. You may want to ride the chairlift up to Monte Solaro or take a tour through Villa San Michelle.
Day 3: Amalfi Coast to Rome
In the morning we will drive the spectacular Amalfi coastline, past the town of Positano and with relaxed stops in Amalfi and Ravello. Admire the homes of the rich and famous. Chill out in a cafe or wander the beautiful gardens. Quaint shops and restaurants abound. In the afternoon we will make our way back to Rome.
Tour returns to Camping Roma at approx 7.30pm.
We recommend that you don't make any arrangements for leaving Rome on the last night of the tour - sometimes the traffic on the Amalfi Coast is very heavy and we cannot guarantee our arrival time.
