Tour Itinerary
The basic Busabout tour takes at least 9 days, but you can stay longer at any of the islands and join up with another tour. Accommodation on the Greek Islands can be pre-booked through MyBusabout.
Day 1: Depart Athens for Mykonos.
Day 2: Mykonos.
Mykonos is a beautiful island with fantastic landscapes and picturesque white painted villages, narrow alleys and hundreds of little family churches and chapels. It's the most cosmopolitan of the Greek Islands with a vibrant nightlife. Mykonos town with its famous landmark windmills is one of the most beautiful of the island towns, but most visitors to Mykonos spend their days at Paradise or Super Paradise Beach.
Day 3: Mykonos to Paros.
Day 4: Paros.
Paros is a quiet, laid-back island with many fine beaches. The port town of Parikia is awash with travellers and it's worth stepping back from the waterfront to visit the old town and its 13th-century Venetian kastro. The island's other major settlement is Naoussa, an idyllic fishing village with cafes surrounding the port. Sit back, relax and sample the freshly caught seafood.
Day 5: Paros to Santorini.
Day 6: Santorini.
Santorini is the most spectacular of all the Greek islands. Its majestic cliffs rise more or less vertically out of the sea. Whitewashed villages situated on the cliffs offer breathtaking views over the volcano, believed by some to have caused the disappearance of Atlantis. Volcanic black sand beaches, ancient ruins, great wines and some of the world's most fantastic sunsets have make any visit to Santorini an unforgettable experience.
Day 7: Santorini to Ios.
Day 8: Ios.
With hundreds of bars in a small three block radius and truckloads of beer imported daily, Ios is party central. This mountainous island also offers pristine beaches and the coastline is adorned with small, attractive coves. Spending their days on the beach and drinking all night, young travellers flock to Ios. And they sure know how to party!
Day 9: Ios to Athens.
Return time varies depending on the ferries - we recommend booking your onward travel for the next day.
