Founded as a Viking settlement, Dublin has been Ireland's primary city since medieval times.

Dublin is the capital city of the Republic of Ireland, and has one of the youngest and fastest growing populations of any European capital. The city has a vibrant nightlife with pubs right across the city centre, on almost every street. In particular, the Temple Bar area is most famous for it's nightlife and has become a hot spot for toursits, as well as a popular venue for stag and hen parties.
