Once the capital of Spain, the fortified town of Toledo is famous or its sword making. We travel through "Don Quixote country" to the student town of Granada where the Sierra Nevada mountains meet the plain. Marvel at the Moorish Castle, the Alhambra, the most visited monument in Spain and what some people consider to be one of the "wonders of the world."
Iberian 7 Day Adventure
Gorge yourself on tapas, witness emotive Flamenco in its spiritual home and drink jerez (sherry) at its birthplace. Venture further into Moorish influenced Tarifa and then over into Lagos with its great beaches and awesome night life.

Tour Itinerary
Day 1: Madrid to Toledo, Consuegra and Granada
Our first stop of the day is only a short drive away at the Imperial City of Toledo. Visit the Cathedral, explore the cobblestone streets numerous stores filled with hand-crafted steel swords. We will continue towards Granada via the route of Don Quixote - The Man from La Mancha - with a bonus stop at Consuegra, where Don Quixote famously tilted at the windmills.
Day 2: Granada
You have the entire day to explore Granada at your leisure. Be sure not to miss the most famous Moorish relic and most visited sight in Spain - The Alhambra. Allow yourselves around 3 hours to explore the palace and the Generalife gardens. Meet with the group later in the evening for some more tapas bar hopping.
Day 3: Granada to Tarifa
Journey past the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains and along the Costa del Sol to Tarifa. This is a popular stop for kite-surfing.
Day 4: Tarifa to Jerez and Lagos
Jerez de la Frontera became famous throughout the world for its sweet wines named after the town, which the British pronounced "sherry".
Day 5: Lagos
Praia de Batata, the old town and beach. Explore the grottos of the Algarve by sea-kayak or boat, and make the most of Lagos' incredible night life.
Day 6: Lagos to Seville
Seville has its own style of flamenco, 'sevillanas', with the dancing not kicking off in bars until midnight. Party until the sun rises on the banks of the Gualdaquivir river, where revellers take advantage of the outdoor bars lining the river banks.
Day 7: Seville to Cordoba and Madrid
We will visit Cordoba's most famous monument, the Mezquita. Originally a mosque, a Christian cathedral was built in its centre in the 16th century. Wander through the Jewish quarter, great photo opportunities of the colourful flower-filled Cordoban patios. Then it's back to Madrid and the end of your tour.
